We are done panting onions, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, carrots and herbs. We were dragging our feet a little as we wanted to make sure we were past frost unlike last year. So we waited until this week. On Tuesday the forecast lows were in the 40's, but as soon as we planted the NWS issued a frost warning. Luckily the temperature only dropped to 37. It seems that our last frost for the past few years has been closer to Memorial Day rather than the 15th. As nice as the spring was, late frosts seem to complicate our strategies for early crops. |
