Putting out a quick newsletter so that you remember to put in your order before tomorrow morning. Orders are due on March 16 by 9:00 am. Delivery will be on Wednesday March 18.
Jenny and I got home last night from our winter break and this is the official beginning of our spring work. We appreciate the crew keeping everything going and giving us a break.
We have pickled eggs. This time of year, with layers starting to pick up the slack as the days are longer, we have enough eggs to pickle. It is my favorite! We have Turmeric, Balsamic, and Dill/Garlic. $15/Qt with about 10 eggs.
We have started to brine Easter Hams. We will have traditional smoked hams with celery power cure(pink) and Eco-cure smoked hams without nitrate. We will determine a price as we learn what our costs are in the enterprise. We will send out an Easter newsletter next week with updated pricing and availability.
We continue to have Ellen and Cory's goat meat available.
Our online application for work is posted. If you or someone you know is interested in helping us out from May till November, please fill it out. Positions are full time and part time farm help and Saturday market help is also needed. We have a great crew, we work hard and have a lot of fun. There is always good food and laughter all around us. Just go the main menu of our website for details.
Our Home Delivery CSA signups will be closing on March 31. Once signups have closed we will send out our options menu to those who have signed up.
