Happy New Year!  After a couple week break from newsletters I am back on the horse.

This coming week, Wednesday, January 21 is delivery day in Western NY.  Orders are due by Monday, January 19 at 9:00 am.  It is important that we get the orders on time, as we run low inventory this time of year and need to make or prepare the items in your order.  This allows us time to make your orders fresh!

We have lots going on this winter.  Hannah and Grif are are working on submitting our NOFA paperwork.  Both are working a bit remotely.  Hannah will be going on to maternity leave in a couple months and is taking it a bit easy.  Grif is working on her breaks from a busy schedule at her winter job at a ski hill in Northern VT.  She sent us a picture of her office and we are wishing we were there...

Eric and Luke are tackling many projects.  They have reworked a large area of cow mattress that had come loose.  Our cows have mattresses.  The bottom layer is a heavy memory foam.  The topper is a soft rubber.  We layer sawdust on top of that weekly to keep it dry and warm.

The boys are also putting new siding on the upper barn and repairing  a bad section of roof.

We are out of vegetables except winter squash.  This will be the last month for that.  It is starting to deteriorate.

We have lots of eggs for the first time in over a year.  Cases are available for winter kitchen work.  We are making pickled eggs and pasta in the kitchen.  We hope to have both available in February.

Ellen and Cory @ String Farm have made their goat meat available for you all to get on the Farmshop.  You can get cuts or a box.  They raise them on pasture, in season, and in their warm little barn in the winter.

One final thought.  We will communicate with you if you place an order and we decide to move the delivery day due to the weather.  This coming week looks cold and snowy.  We appreciate the understanding if poor road conditions get in the way.
