The Best Food From People Who Care

Newsletter July 4, 2025

Happy Fourth of July.  We love our country and the opportunities we have to farm freely.  I hope for brighter tomorrows. I pray for justice and that wisdom might overcome the political arc we are following.

The pond is warm, the weeds are being stubborn and the work is never ending.  That is July on the farm.  I am sorry to have not done a newsletter for the last two weeks.  We are tight on time, and that is one of the first things to go when I am not getting enough sleep.

I have posted whole chickens up on the website.  Unfortunately, we have very limited chicken parts this year.   Our first market took most of what we had to sell.  We will be unable to put up chicken parts on the website for sale as we just don't have the inventory.  We have done three days of chicken processing and have one more before we are done for the summer.  We will have another batch at the end of September.

Weeding and field mowing have taken over our time.  We are nearing the end of seeding and planting season and our field is almost full.

This will be our first big week of cucumbers and we should have some broccoli at market.  Sugar Snap Peas and lots of greens need picking.  Away we go...

Our online application for work is posted.  If you or someone you know is interested in helping us out for the rest of the season, please fill it out.  Positions are full time and part time farm help.  We have a great crew, we work hard and have a lot of fun.  There is always good food and laughter all around us. Just go the main menu of our website for details.
