We have finally gotten red tomatoes and a few colored peppers this week.  Sweetcorn is a full go and there will be lots at market.  We were able to fence and keep the raccoons out of it.

Cows just made the big move back to our front pastures and Damien (Eric's Dad) is mowing pastures for us.  This has been a really big help.  We are mowing the chicken pastures this week and doing some work on the pig pastures as well.

Clayton is making great progress on the kitchen and we are starting to put up drywall this week.

We are about half done with potatoes and are starting carrot harvest this week.  We hope to do our last planting of lettuces this week and to start our end of year field cleanup.  County Fair week usually is the start of the end of year processes.

My grandfather always said that frost is 6 weeks from the locust singing.  The Locusts were in full chorus last night.  I hope frost isn't that early, but the march of season is inexorable.  Enjoy these late summer evenings!
