Summer finally seems to have matured.  We picked our first tomatoes and will have limited amounts for market.  We are still waiting patiently for the peppers to color up.  We lost 3 plantings of sweetcorn to the raccoons.  It is amazing how much of a party they can have at our expense...

We have had some kind of allium borer that has affected the garlic and some Walla onions.  The damage is difficult to spot as the damage is deep inside.  If you have damage just cut out the spot or the garlic clove that is affected.  We apologize for any damage we have missed in our produce.

If you would like to preserve green beans, this is your week.  We have put up half bushels on our Farmshop.

If you would like a half bushel of peaches from Lynoaken, we can also get those for you.

The Farmshop will also have half bushels of beets, potatoes, kale and collards.

We sell out of steaks very quickly these days, and so we have an abundance of other cuts that we need to move.  We have had to take down our regular meat boxes on the Farmshop, as we have run out of steaks.  We will be offering an economy meat box without steaks, to hopefully keep people in meat and allow us to move through some inventory of other cuts.  If this appeals to you, take a look!

We have had a lot of questions about our farm stand.  Raccoons have also wrecked havoc there.  I hope to have a solution to help us keep them off the stand soon.  It is just not food safe for us to sell raccoon contaminated food!  They have been such a pain to us this year.

If you are missing our produce, you can order a CSA box share from the Farmshop. It is a good option for a mix of vegetables that are fresh from the garden.

It is time to pull onions, shallots and will start to harvest leeks soon as well.  I hope your family gets to enjoy the peak of summer as County Fair time comes in with cooler nights and ripe produce.  Take some time to enjoy!
